Alvaro Alban, M.D.

Dominic Ruocco, M.D. is a board-certified emergency physician and the Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center. For the past 14 years, Dr. Ruocco has provided professional staffing and leadership as a member of the Palisades Emergency Consultants board of directors. He has served on countless PMC and HMH leadership committees including the PMC Medical Executive Committee and the HMH ED Directors Committee. As a member of the HMH ED Directors Committee, Dr. Ruocco has been instrumental in developing system-wide protocols for the most up to date safe care and management of COVID patients across the system.  He is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Rutgers College. Most recently he developed a process for the HMH affiliated urgent care centers to care for potential COVID patients carside.​

Alvaro Alban, M.D. is a board-certified emergency physician and the Chairman of Emergency Medicine at East Orange General Hospital in East Orange, NJ. He serves on various hospital committees and has led the Emergency Department through testing and treating thousands of COVID-19 patients since March 2020.  Dr. Alban has devised department-wide protocols to maintain staff safety by using various forms of PPE.  He has become an expert in PPE, PAPR equipment, P100 filters, face-shields, donning/doffing, sterilizing/reusing gear, cleaning clinical workspace, and much more.  He co-owns with Dr. Ruocco six(6) full-service urgent care units in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  Since the onset of the pandemic, these centers have tested thousands of patients per day for COVID-19. A graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Cornell University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Lehigh University. ​

Hina Ghory, M.D.

Hina Ghory, M.D.  is a board-certified emergency physician and the Assistant Director of Emergency Medicine at East Orange General Hospital in East Orange, NJ. She has devised protocols for the safe and competent management of COVID-19 patients in her Emergency Department. She has managed hundreds of COVID-19 patients of all acuity levels since the start of the pandemic. She was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College for several years, teaching both medical students and emergency medicine residents. She has several peer-reviewed publications related to medical education. She received her bachelor's in biochemistry from Wellesley College, a medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College, and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine from the New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Cornell and Columbia Universities, serving as chief resident in her final year. She is currently a candidate for a Master of Business Administration degree at Johns Hopkins University.
